We were so excited to get a call to invite us to showcase our sweetie table at one of the coolest parties in Brighton suitably named ‘Veilbash’. Sara Doron is beautiful, stylish and a damm good blogger. She has an eye for all things vintage and as part of documenting her own wedding she created one of the most inspirational blogs in the wedding industry Under The Vintage Veil. Her blog is a brides dream when looking for vintage-style, rustic chic suppliers, services and real weddings, it’s also a safe place to discuss the emotional aspect of getting married and to ask any wedding-related questions.
Sara wanted to throw a party to celebrate the blogs first birthday and wow what a venue…The Proud Ballrooms in Brighton. The Ballrooms had glamorous decor, a decadent bar, boothed seating and dancefloor to dance the night away. It really was a step back in time and offered a fabulous backdrop for the party. The party began with a fashion show from Charlotte Bridal where Charlotte exhibited some of her original designs. Frou Frou Bride a wonderful boutique based in Tunbridge Wells also provided the models and gowns from their amazing shop. Some of the dresses included designs by David Fielden, Ivy & Aster, Sarah Seven, Lyn Ashworth and Belle and Bunty. We also had the absolute pleasure to get to know Jinder from The Finer Details. She designs some of the most fabulous, sparkly brooch bouquets as well as beautiful signs, mirrors with calligraphy writing on, stationary design and many other wonderful wedding must haves. She was even kind enough to make us our own Purely Events sign for the evening.
All the guests enjoyed Purely Events Sweetie table a special thank you to Michelle Fiedler for designing all the sweetie signs. The wonderful cake was created by Emma from Cake Maison. Emma combined the burlesque theme with vintage chic which complimented our sweetie jars and props perfectly.
Sara arranged for Hairport UK to add even more glamour to the party allowing her guests to have their hair coiffured or blow dried. Sara’s Mum was on hand to offer the guests a total pampering experience she runs a company called Pure Pampering Parties where guests can get a whole range of holistic treatments anything from Reiki to foot massage. What a great idea when your guests have danced the night away and need nothing better than a foot rub to relieve those sore feet.
The guests were also able to enjoy their time in the photobooth which was provided by Retro Me boy could those guys boogie on down and all of the stunning images from the party were captured by Jayne from Sacco Photography what an amazing photographer she really captured the essence of the party and I would recommend her to photograph any wedding.
